Info

The eye is an organ which determines our relationship with the world. It initiates us to the difference between “I“ and the perceived surroundings, the bodies around us; an inner and outer world arise. The priority given to the visual perception in the world distances the subject from a material and corporal physicality, as touch, taste and odour are put aside, and a full sensory volume is left out.

Smell and taste are rarely chosen as a means of artistic expression. My works aims to captivate the public with a rediscovery of those senses.

Words, tastes, the participation and interaction of the visitor, humour and irony, the body and sexuality are all important ingredients which position m y work and link the performances with the paintings.
